Heyco HEYware products are made out of a variety of different materials that are suitable for a variety of applications. Materials include nylon, polypropylene, acetyl, Tefzel & others depending on the application. There are many advantages of using a nylon fastener over a traditional fastener, such as:

1. Many of Heyco's plastic fasteners are easier to install than most traditional fasteners (many times they don’t even require special equipment for installation).
2. Plastic fasteners cost much less to transport since they weigh a fraction of what a metal fastener weighs.
3. Plastic fasteners don’t cause fatigue and/or carpal tunnel syndrome. Since many of our plastic fasteners can be installed without any special equipment such as drills/screwdrivers, there is a lower chance of plant workers becoming fatigued or developing carpal tunnel
4. Productivity can increase by as much as 60% - the majority of our fasteners can be installed with fingertip pressure. The ease of installation has increased production in a particular cell in Texas by as much as 60% since converting to one of our snap-rivets.
